BTCCSquare news:

The team behind decentralized finance protocol CrediX Finance has disappeared following a $4.5 million exploit, raising suspicions of an exit scam. Blockchain security firm CertiK reported the project's official X account went silent, while its website remains offline since the August 4 incident.

Attackers gained administrative control of CrediX's multisig wallet, exploiting bridge privileges to mint unbacked collateral tokens. The project initially claimed to have negotiated with the exploiter for fund recovery, but all communication channels have since vanished without resolution.

The abrupt disappearance follows a pattern seen in previous DeFi exit scams, where teams abandon projects after significant fund losses. Security analysts warn this incident further highlights the risks in unaudited protocols and the importance of multisig wallet safeguards.
